GCLC is proud to announce Deaven Walker as the recipient of the 2022 Danielle Brown Scholarship!


A graduate of Grand Blanc High School, Deaven shines as a student, color guard, and chef. He has a huge heart and is dedicated to serving his family, friends, and community.

GCLC would like to recognize Greg Perry as our tutor of the month for January 2022. Greg has been a Literacy Coach with the GST Michigan Works Talent Development Center (TDC) since October of 2019. Greg always goes above and beyond to be there for his team members, students, and community. As a former Marine and an Advocate for youth and adults with disabilities, Greg demonstrates consistent commitment to service and our shared value of lifelong learning. He is dependable, patient, thoughtful, compassionate, and hardworking. He always has a positive attitude and a great sense of humor.


Greg is a valuable member of TDC and GCLC, contributing to program and student success in many ways. Greg shines in areas including phonics and reading remediation, English as a Second Language, study skills, writing assistance, technology, and movie trivia. Greg is an innovative and creative problem solver, and we are fortunate to have him on our team. You can find him at the Talent Development Center Monday-Friday with a smile, snacks, and ready to help. Stay tuned to learn more about our students and tutors of the month!
