2024 Danielle Brown Scholarship

gclcadultlearners

Do you know an outstanding High School or GED graduate?

GCLC is now seeking nominations for the 2024 Danielle Brown Scholarship!

This yearly scholarship was initiated in 2021 after our community experienced the devastating loss of GCLC’s esteemed Chairperson, Danielle Brown. As a champion for literacy, Danielle Brown led the Coalition with a vision and a passion for anyone without a voice and we are committed to continuing her mission forward.

In honor of Danielle Brown’s memory, GCLC selects one student each year to receive the Danielle Brown Scholarship. The recipient will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship toward the next step of their education. Other candidates will receive recognition and GCLC will strive to provide support for all through our community partners.

Former scholarship winners include MaKenzi Hodo of Powers Catholic High School, Deaven Walker of Grand Blanc High School, and Suranjan Hardy of Success Virtual Learning Centers of Michigan.
